What does it cost to be an Associate? Do I have to do anything special?

Your Associate membership is 100% free. All you have to do is put at least one link on your site and, as people click the link and purchase from Essi's online store, you will earn referral fees. If you choose, you can take a more active role and increase your income (see " How do I maximize my income from the Associate’s program?")

How will I know if I’ve been approved as an Associate?

Once your application is received and reviewed you will receive an email from Essi letting you know that you have been approved. You will receive information on getting started as an Associate, a choice of banners or links for your site, and content pages describing Essi and Q-Metrics products to put on your site if you wish.

How will I get the banner or links on my site?

Associates have a special log-in area that includes a page of links and web content. That page has the HTML you need to copy and paste into your web pages. If you do not know how to do this, our web designers have a special reduced fee for Associates who need technical support to edit their web pages. Click here for examples of banners and links. When and how do I get paid?

Commissions to Associates will be paid in two ways:
1) Whenever total commissions due to an Associate are $100.00 or greater, you will receive a check for the amount due.
2) All commissions earned, regardless of amount, will be paid to the Associate on a quarterly basis. Quarters shall be based on calendar year.

How will I know if sales are being made through my site?

You will get an email notice every time someone places an order and generates a commission for you. Associates can log-in anytime to see a current report showing referrals and credit due.

How do I maximize my income from the Associate’s program?

There are many ways to increase your Associate revenue.

• Send an announcement email to all your clients promoting new products and services available on your website.
• Put text links throughout your site. For instance, you might have links that read "All Stressed Out?" or "Build EQ" on some of your website pages.
• Mix banners and text links; click here for examples of banners and links.
• Bring Essi/Q-Metrics professionals in to work with your clients and receive 5% of the total service contract. Click here for info on Service Associates.
• Write reviews of the products and post them on your site along with a "buy a trial copy" link.
• Share case studies and success stories about your use of the Maps or other Essi products, and include a link.
• Purchase Essi materials that you use for your own consulting through your links.
• Send emails to everyone in your address book that you have updated your site to include the world’s leading assessments; tell them why you are selling the StressMap®, EQ Map® and Resiliency Map™, and encourage them to support your work by buying a Map from your link.
• Create an email newsletter, and regularly share insights you and clients have attained with the help of the maps. You can include an Associates link right in the email.
• Try one strategy at a time, and regularly log in to the Associates area and see which efforts are most successful.

Is there a minimum number of click throughs required to remain an Associate?

As long as you keep an active link on your site and abide by the terms of the Associate Contract, you can remain in the program. Since there is no cost to you to participate, you can remain an Associate without risk.

I work in the area of Emotional Intelligence, so I want to refer clients to the EQ Map® -- can I become a Q-Metrics Associate?

If you are an Essi Systems Associate, then you already are a Q-Metrics Associate. Log in to the Associates Center, and click "create your links" -- you will see that you can get links and banners for Q-Metrics. Your commissions are combined into one check.

Do I have to link to Essi's Stress Shop or can I send my clients to your free Mini StressMap®?

You can link to any page on the Essi Systems or Q-Metrics websites. There are instructions for how to do this in the Associates Center. Even better, you can track your various links so you can find out what generates the best sales for you.
